a self-taught technomancer, always learning. can get existential at times. i enjoy moments spent alone with beautiful scenery, abandoned places, computer chaos, tea, electronic music, dogs, and the endless ocean.

this site

this place has no analytics whatsoever. all resources (fonts, templates, code highlighting) are loaded locally and never phone a third-party or CDN.

the only piece of javascript is the heading animation, whose source code can be found here (unminified), or here (minified). everything else is pure HTML and CSS with no frameworks. i use nanoc for static-site generation, with a fair amount of customization and personal scripts.

it is however hosted through github pages, which i have no control of. i plan to self-host it during 2024, and will update this page once it is finally done.

there will never be any content produced by a LLM on here (chatGPT, copilot, etc). bots scraping content for them are also not welcome.

all content for this site (text and assets) is under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.

why no analytics

i don't want metrics to influence me over what i publish. this is my place first and foremost: i enjoy sharing and documenting my interests, and improve my thought process through writing. tracking anyone is also completely against my values.

why (almost) no javascript

i want this site to load my content as fast as possible and as reliably as possible, no matter the bandwidth or the browser. this is the best way to achieve this!

formatting style

all my content is formatted in lowercase letters, with the exception of acronyms, names, works of art and code. this is how i like to write online, and it makes a distinction between my perception of personal spaces and formal spaces (work emails, professional relationships, etc).

in short: this is how this place feels like home for me (◜◡‾)

wikis

chaos is my cybersecurity wiki, while phasm is my personal wiki for all other interests.

these wikis would not be the same without the sources mentioned, so i try my best to give appropriate credit and respect attribution. things can however get messy when sources are conflicting, so contact me if i ever missed you or someone else! i'll make it my priority to fix that.

syndication

my RSS feed only tracks blog posts listed on the homepage. this is by design, as the wikis can get updated several times a day for very mundane things (fixing typos, one line edits, etc).
